Termite Insepction

Regular termite inspections are essential to catch infestations early and minimise structural damage to your property. At Absolute pest control we will thoroughly examine your property, checking for signs of termites such as mud tubes, droppings, or hollow-sounding wood.

We recommend getting your inspection done at least once a year, especially for older homes or those in high-risk areas. Early detection allows for prompt treatment, reducing the need for costly repairs.

When performing our inspections we use both a moisture metre and thermal imaging camera where needed ensuring that your property remains safe from the hidden threat of termites.

Termite Protection

Termites work fast, causing significant structural damage that can be expensive to repair and remove. That’s why having a termite protection system in place is essential to safeguard your home or property from these silent destroyers and all homes built after 1999 should have some form of pretreatment or protection system undergone during construction.

At Absolute Pest Control, we specialise in protecting your property with licensed installation and maintenance of several termite protection systems. Termite Protection systems come in three standard forms: reticulation systems, static protection systems and baiting systems.

Whether you need a reticulation system that creates a chemical barrier around your property or another tailored option, we have the expertise to install and maintain these systems, ensuring your home remains termite-free

Termite Removal

If you are dealing with an active termite infestation there are a number of proven termite removal strategies to protect your home. Every infestation is different, and we will always perform an inspection first so we can get you a quote and based on our 20+ years of effective termite control experience we will recommend you the best treatment option.

Active termite baiting

Active termite baiting is the most guaranteed solution for removing termite infestations. However, dependent on the extent of the infestation, colony size, and the time of year, baiting can take six months or more to fully eliminate the termite population. The bait stations will need to be monitored every 2-3 weeks and topped up or replaced if necessary.

Trench and Treat

We will inject a termiticide liquid into the soil around your property’s perimeter and near entry points where the termite colony is accessing the home. This guarantees a thorough and targeted approach to exterminating the termites and is faster acting than standard termite baiting

Spot treatment

Spot treatments can also be used for quicker and can be useful in combination with other treatments to deter termites from key structural areas and for heavy infestations. However, the liquid may also damage walls and timbers and also cause termites to scatter if performed incorrectly.

Most Common Termites

At Absolute pest control, our customers come first. With our extensive knowledge on spider species around Sydney we’re equipped to protect your home from any spider infestation

Subterranean Termites

There are a number of different Subterranean termite species in Sydney which share a common behavior: they build extensive underground colonies and use mud tubes to access food sources above ground.

Termite populations are most commonly found near nature reserves, parks and areas with a high tree count and moisture.

Dry Wood Termites

Drywood termites are less common in Sydney than subterranean termites. These termites are harder to remove as they live in small colonies and do not require high moisture compared to subterranean termites. As such, they do not create mud tubes and are harder to detect and treat.

We're always ready to serve you.

Dangers of Waiting for Termite Pest Control

Termites: Understanding Their Behavior and Risks

Termites thrive in dark, damp areas and are drawn to wood, making homes with excess moisture or wood-to-soil contact particularly vulnerable. Overgrown foliage or mulch close to your home can also attract termites, giving them an easy pathway inside. Once established, termites can quickly cause extensive structural damage, often without immediate signs of their presence.

Termite Damage

Termites don’t just damage wood—they can compromise the structural integrity of your home. They chew through beams, flooring, and even furniture, leading to costly repairs. A single termite colony can house thousands of workers, working around the clock to feed on cellulose materials. Without proper prevention and treatment, an infestation can escalate rapidly, putting your property and safety at risk.

Signs of Termites

Termites can be elusive, but a professional inspection can reveal clear signs of an infestation. Common indicators include mud tubes along walls or foundations, hollow-sounding wood, discarded wings near windows or doors, and visible damage to wood structures. Advanced tools like thermal imaging can detect hidden termite activity by identifying heat patterns associated with colonies. However, no single method is foolproof, which is why a combination of techniques, such as physical inspections, moisture meters, and thermal imaging, is essential to ensure your home is thoroughly assessed for termites.
